Freight Assistance Scheme

The Freight Assistance Scheme under the Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy-2020 helps micro and small exporting units by subsidizing transportation costs to seaports, air cargo, or international borders to enhance global competitiveness.

Objective

To offset additional freight costs faced by exporters in Haryana due to geographic distance, improving their competitiveness internationally.

Quantum of Assistance

  • Assistance Rate: 1% of FOB value or actual freight cost (excluding govt fees/taxes), whichever is less.
  • Maximum Annual Assistance: ₹10 lakh for units in C & D blocks; ₹5 lakh for A & B blocks.
  • Applicability: Valid for new micro/small exporters with annual turnover under ₹10 crore and ZED certification.

Eligibility Criteria

  • New exporting micro and small enterprises, eligible for 5 years from the start of exports.
  • Must show direct exports and hold Udyam Registration (URC), Haryana Udhyam Memorandum (HUM), Export Promotion Council membership, and DGFT Importer-Exporter code.

Procedure & Timeline

Applications (Annexure‑I) must be submitted online within 3 months after the fiscal year end. The Additional Director sanctions the subsidy. Late submissions forfeit benefits.

Role of Wealth Design LLP

Wealth Design LLP supports new exporters with eligibility guidance, application preparation, calculation of freight benefit based on FOB, and coordination with government departments to maximize scheme advantages.
