Employment Generation Subsidy Scheme

This scheme is designed to strengthen Haryana’s EV manufacturing ecosystem by linking fiscal support directly to employment generation. It focuses on capacity building in EVs, components, batteries, and charging infrastructure units across the state.

Objectives & Quantum of Assistance

The scheme provides a subsidy of ₹48,000 per employee per year for 10 years for eligible units in B, C, and D category blocks.

Condition: Applies to employees on payroll or contract who have valid ESI/PF numbers and are Haryana residents.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Target: Manufacturers of EVs, key EV components, batteries, and charging infrastructure in notified blocks.
  • Domicile Requirement: Units must employ at least 75% Haryana domicile workers.
  • Environmental: Mega/large units must establish facilities for battery disposal/recycling as per norms.

Application & Disbursement

  • Timeline: Applications submitted online within 3 months of the end of the financial year.
  • Process: Claims are processed by the District Industries Centre with unit inspections.
  • Sanction: Joint/Deputy Director verifies compliance; deficiencies must be rectified within ~10 days.

Role of Wealth Design LLP

Wealth Design LLP supports EV and component manufacturers by clarifying eligibility, preparing online applications, compiling ESI/PF and domicile documentation, and coordinating with DIC/Industry officials.

The scheme encourages local hiring in the EV value chain, building a skilled workforce and accelerating EV adoption. Future improvements could widen eligible sectors and extend scheme duration.
